There is the destinct possibility this is an entirely stupid question, but google was of very little help so here we go...
I have a Solomon Island Ground Boa, Sage. So far we have been assist feeding him/her rat tails. It's a neonate and looks to be getting just big enough for pinky mice, which i have.
I was thinking about scenting the first one with an anole or frog. My area is over run with them, and house geckos.
Is it feasible to catch one from the wild, scent the pinky, then return it? I haven't really found anything saying yes or no when it comes to this specific situation.
Don't get wild bc of internal diseases and parasites. Keep wild caught away from the rest of your collection for a long time for quarantine.
Seen all that, but wasn't sure if the same would apply for just rubbing the pinky on one.
Getting one as a pet to do this with probably isn't going to be feasible. Hubby had said no to more pets. Lol.
Thanks for any help and/or clarity you guys can provide!
