Two of the kids from March's mystery mot litter (OT hypo harlequin het super stripe x DH T+ super stripe. The DH turned out to be a motley despite no visual motley traits).
The top offspring maaay be a visual super stripe possible motley. I keep wanting to label it a het or poss het SS but I think it's also a mystery mot like the sire and if so, that complicates things. I won't know for sure until I prove it out.
The bottom I think is an OT hypo harlequin motley het super stripe.
The possible visual SS sibling is in shed, so I don't have an updated comparison photo there.
With the SS project as a whole, I'm reluctant to label things as visual super stripe UNLESS classic tri-striping is happening with no jungle involved and there's no ambiguity in the parent pairing. These two things seem to be the biggest issues with this project (not knowing if one or both parents is het or visual, and thus not knowing if offspring are het or visual, etc. And adding jungle, which accentuates striping and can cause hets to look like visual SS).
There's a lot of legwork yet to be done as far as how SS interacts with other pattern altering genes. Hoping to discover a little more this year, wish me luck.
