Rescuing a dragon that was roaming outside will give you 2 unfortunate things to deal with:
Belly full of worms and tail rot.
Hopefully our betadine/water soaks and neosporin does the trick and it fails off naturally instead of amputating half the tail that the vet would rather do. I guess we will see if we make any progress in 3 weeks. If not, tail amputation it is. Right now we're doing 3 weeks of Baytril injections.
If you dealt with this before and have an actual exotics vet, what was your experience? I wouldn't say my vet isn't knowledgeable, I've just never been to them before, their office is kinda new, and literally the only one I have that isn't 3hrs away. I'm one of those that likes second opinions.
He hasn't lost weight, drinks, eats his greens every day.. just likes to be problematic.
Not me also feeling guilty bc I noticed his tail at first but it just looked like a little kink and it wasn't black, then coming back from an appt out of town to see he must have gotten it snagged on a rock and now I know it's not just a kink. He'll get fixed up though 😔
Other than that, Kitty got a A+ for his physique.
Those who have jumping spiders..
Where do you buy your enclosures?
If you DIY, where do you find your materials? What do you use?
