Got this itty bitty lil baby yesterday! I think I'm going to name them Beans 🤣
Way too small to sex, unless I could get them to hold still under a magnifying glass, so I'm unsure of sex as of right now. Hoping for a female but don't mind either way!
As of right now, they're in a 15qt quarantine tub set up. Going to get a 12x12x18" or a 24-36" tall paludarium.. depends on what I can get my hands on and how fast they grow. 🤔
Almost forgot to update you guys on the Leo I posted recently..
We have decided to name her Latte! She’s 33.7 grams, and she actually ended up laying two little infertile eggs the night before her appointment on this past Thursday! The eggs were 3.8 grams together.
I took her to a reptile vet, and he said that it’s more than likely a bit of MBD mixed with a healed over broken bone. He said that he could do an xray, but regardless if it’s currently broken or not, it wouldn’t change the course of care that would be required. He felt her leg a good bit, and he said he can not tell if it was broken at the hip joint or on the femur itself. I personally didn’t want to spend the money on an xray, if it wouldn’t even change the care required for her. So, I opted to save the money. Sorry if that upsets some people..
He also pointed out that in her right eye, she has a slight deformity. Her pupil is angled more towards her nose, whereas on the left side it’s more centered. So, I thought that was interesting for sure. He sent me home with some informational documents about MBD and whatnot. He said to up her calcium intake and get a UVB bulb installed on a new enclosure for her. I'm thinking a 10gal might work for her case? Lmk if you have any recommendations!
