It isn't always pretty... we rescued this girl a couple years ago, she was three years old and just under 500 grams... She was surrendered to a local pet store my sister worked at, after being taken out of a terrible situation of neglect. We loved and nurtured Opal, and got her healthy and looking great. We believe her to be a fire, hypo, pastel, and ended up pairing her to a Mojave male and were excited when we got an ovulation in late April... Then the waiting game began, and expected laying time came and went... we reached out to other breeders, and a vet, and were advised as long as there were no signs of discomfort and she was acting normal, to let her be, but take her in if that changed. Well, finally this week she slowly started to lay, hard rubbery, shriveled eggs. 5 out so far, not sure if there is one still in there or not, but we will wait and monitor...
