Mattstel is a trait I took from selectively breeding the first few generations of sterling hets and sterlings. These come from a 2013 female and a 2016 sterling male Ken B produced early on after sterling was released to the public from Ken B. The characteristics of Mattstel include clean empty spaces with high orange and clean contrasted outlined patterns. This line starts off silver and turn very orange, true to the "Sterling" name.
Here is a classic "Mattstel" het sterling. I have produced litters from this pairing three times over 10 years proving it acts similarly across multiple breedings.
